Bang Tao beach is an 8 km long bay with white sand and rows of casuarina trees. Bangtao Beach is very popular with windsurfers, and yachts. Horseriding is also a popular pass time on this beach.

Bang Tao beach is becoming more developed every year, mostly at the northern end where the Laguna resort complex is located. The southern end of the beach has a small fishing village and smaller bungalow style accommodation, but the developers have their eyes on this area too.

The headland and beach at this end of bang tao are great for an afternoon walk and the sunset over the headland is something not to be missed.
