Our trip through mentawai coast line will be a life time experienced for surfer all over the globe. As we all known The Mentawai Islands offer some of the best surf to be found anywhere on earth. These islands attracts swells all year round with the most consistent season generally being between March and November. Waves vary in size from 2 to 12 foot with the average wave height being about 6 foot. This region can also get big swells with up to 16 feet. These islands are blessed with some of the most consistent, user friendly surf in the world. From a-walk-in-the-park beginer waves to the suicide waves only the real-pro could tackle. There's something for everyone here !

Some of the waves have names given by the first surfers who ride it. And usually they name the waves by the characteristics of the waves, so here we got bankvault, lances, thunder, hollow tree and many more. Yes, Mentawai is a surfers' paradise. There's a LOT of surf spot all around these islands with a thousand waves everyday

Our surf trip accommodate most of the perfect wave along the coast line of mentawai archipelago. We provide 4 boat for our beloved guest. These are the boat that will take you to the surfer paradise on earth.

The boat Aileoita II

The Aileoita II is going into its 4rd full season of surf charters with a fully seasoned veteran crew which have operating charter boats, mostly surf charter from and to Mentawai islands, Telo islands, Nias islands, Hinako islands, Banyak islands and Simeuelue islands for the past 10 years. They have lots of experience, and have extensive knowledge of the new surf spots formed by the uplifting of the seabeds and they knew several secret surf spots unknown by the others.

The Aileoita II is a specially designed surf charter boat with safety, comfort, and convienience standard that is one step above the other charter boats around Mentawai. This boat is one of 30 Mentawai Government Licenses Surf Charter Vessels permitted to operate in the Mentawai Islands from 2008-2012.

The Aileoita II is a formidable 80' x 16' Indonesian Hardwood boat built in Padang, West Sumatra in 2006. It has all safety, communications and navigational instruments including: EPIRB, Furuno Radar, Furuno GPS, Compass, VHF Radio, HF/SSB radio, Satelite telephone, Life Jackets, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blanket, First Aid kit and all neccessary charts for the region. It has a big 29" TV with DVD, VCD, CD, mp3 player, a poweful amplifier, and large concert size speakers system in the saloon, as well as out door speakers on the upper deck.

The beds are all very large, and comfortable. There are 10 beds in 5 cabins, and all of them are larger than the average bed on a charter boat, and well suited for you big guys. 8 of the beds are large enough to comfortably accommodate couples. Just ask other people who have been onboard this boat and they'll tell you how comfortable and big the bed was. The upper deck and the back deck have long wrap around benches, to hang out while you watch the waves or the surf. And it has a 17 foot aluminum tender with 25 HP engine, which runs you back and forth to the surf, to the beach, to see the scenes and to take you trolling.

The boat handles large waves or rough seas very well. It is a strong and well balanced boat. The boat is powered by 2 X 185 hp diesel engines with cruising speed ofs 9 knots , but is capable doing 10-12 knots if needed. It has 2 X 30 KVA 220 volt onboard electricity generators to power all the lights and equipment onboard .

And of course in this boat you will get full catering throughout the trip, gourmet cuisine, soft drinks, tropical fruit juices, beer, and well stocked refrigerator and freezer.

Besides Aileoita II, we also operate the boat of Kaimana, Kaimana is a new 80ft motor boat, built and moored in Padang. She offers the same luxury accommodation as some of the top western boats. She has 5 twin cabins with individual air-conditioning, so it's much more comfortable than sleeping in the one room. She has a large fully air-conditioned lounge room with TV, DVD and stereo, 2 shower/toilet rooms with hot water showers and an outdoor shower. There is also a fantastic shaded top deck to watch your mates get shacked, and when the sun is going down, move onto the higher open top deck for a sunset bintang!

Kaimana needs a minimum of 6 passengers to sail and the maximum is 10. For the guest comfort we build kaimana with this specification :

The Melaluca – A Surf Charter Vessel

Built new in 2007 the Melaleuca boast traditional Indonesian design with all the modern amenities and safety features of a western style boat. 80 feet of comfort and space at the best value in the Mentawais. More interior space under a/c and more exterior living space to spread out and take in the sights than any other local boat. Our surf guide couple and Indonesian crew will make sure that you get to the waves you want and catch fish along the way. Bring up to 10 passengers for 10 full days/11 nights and get ready to have the surf trip of a lifetime.

An Endless Surf Team representative will pick you up at the airport in Padang and transport you to transit hotel or the boat depending what time you arrive. When you arrive at the Melaleuca you will find 80 feet of air conditioned comfort and space. Every square foot of the interior is under a/c except the galley and captains quarters. The main salon is equipped with comfortable couches, a bar, a flat screen TV, DVD player and stereo. The separate dining area is a nice feature for large groups. Six individual cabins make for a more luxurious feel than the dorm style. The Melaleuca has two, 3 person cabins, three, 2 person cabins and a surf guide cabin all with their own a/c units for individual comfort. Two bathrooms, one with an interior entrance allows you to stay dry and go during foul weather.

The exterior is more spacious than any other local boat. The upper deck is huge with a booming stereo that you can hear in the lineup if you like. Half the upper deck is open and half is covered. You get real shade with our hard top. Suntan or get out of the sun and spread out with 360 degrees of unobstructed views of your mates getting barreled. The fishing station is also covered with a hard top and gives great access to

some of the best fishing anywhere. Plenty of covered, easy access board storage, an outside shower and

swim platform finish off this magnificent, spacious living area.

The melaleuca is powered by twin Mitsubishi 8DC9's with 320 HP each. Two Mitsubishi PS100 250 volt generators providing electricity. A cruising speed of 8 to 10 knots will get you to the waves and have you catching fish from break to break. Furuno Radar, Furuno GPS, Furuno Echo Sounder, Kenwood SSB Radio, Icom VHF Radio and all safety features including, seven fire extinguishers, a 20-person capacity life raft, 20 life preservers, SSB and VHF radio communications, one EPIRB, flares, smoke and emergency alarms. A 20 foot chauffer driven tender with 70 horsepower will get everyone where they need to go.

We prepare traditional Indonesian cuisine, western style, sushi, vegetarian and a variety of foods to please every palate. We include 3 meals, snacks, beverages and 3 beers a day. Our crew is seasoned and Ali Hendriana has 20 years experience as a Captain in Western Sumatra and the Mentawais. Mentawai jungle

By the time you visit The island of Siberut you will be welcoming by the Mentawai people; one of the pure indigenous Indonesian societies. They have had very little contact with the outside world and so have continued to live a fairly primitive form of life compare with the life standard of the present day.

The Mentawaians live in the jungle villages and have to rely on the jungle for their food, clothing and medicine. On our trek we will join the Mentawaians on their daily trip to jungle to see how they make their life, how they gather their foods, clothes, medicines, poisons for their primitive weapons like spears and arrows, learn the differences of the trees, plants, and how they use their primitive equipments.

Trekking through the wet and muddy Mentawai jungle is truly a once in a lifetime experience, Imagine swims on the tropical river, swings on vines, soaked in mud baths and sings the traditional songs along the way. Don't worry its not too strenuous so you don't have to be too fit to trek the Mentawai jungles !

The more you try to interact and communicate wit the locals, the more you will learn and the more satisfaction you will get.One of the most important thing to remeber when trekking in Siberut is : WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET.
