Round 1 Called On at the Oakley ASP World Junior Championships

CANGGU, Bali/Indonesia (Saturday, October 6, 2012) – The 2012 Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali have been called on at Echo Beach, Canggu this morning. The day began with a Balinese blessing ceremony, with all competitors dressed in traditional attire on the black sand beach with clean and crisp 3 to 4 foot (1.5 meter) waves breaking on the reef out the front.

Isabela Sousa – 2012 IBA Women’s World Champion

Brazilian bodyboarder Isabela Sousa captured her second IBA World title in Isla De Margarita, Venezuela.

Sousa was competing in the Bodyboard Pro Festival at Playa Praguito, Nueva Esparta, and only had to touch the water to secure enough points to claim the title.

“I’m so happy I don’t know what to say” said an elated Sousa.

“Bodyboarding is my life, it’s taken me to so many place around the world and given me experiences and friendships that will last forever” she added.
