GUINCHO, Cascais/Portugal (Saturday, October 5, 2013) – Freshly-crowned 2013 ASP Women’s World Champion Carissa Moore (HAW), 21, capped off a banner day at Guincho Beach by claiming the EDP Cascais Girls Pro presented by Billabong over an in-form Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), 22.

Moore, who clinched her second ASP Women’s World Title earlier in the day with the elimination of Tyler Wright (AUS), 19, in the Quarterfinals by Fitzgibbons, carried her momentum into the Final to collect her fourth elite tour victory of the season.“Conditions got tough there in the end – no doubt,” Moore said. “I was still riding the high of clinching the world title and I think that momentum helped me push through in the end.… Read the rest

CAPBRETON, France (Wednesday, September 25, 2013) – Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) 22, has won the Roxy Pro France today in Seignosse Le Penon narrowly defeating fellow Australian Tyler Wright (AUS) 19, in clean 3-4Ft surf.

Penultimate event on the 2013 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour, the Roxy Pro France marks Fitzgibbons’s first event win this season. RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Day six of competition, the final day of Rio Bodyboarding International 2013, saw the conclusion of the Women’s Grand Slam series portion of this event. The morning began with round seven and ran straight through the final with the Brazilians dominating the competition for the day. Highlights included the elimination of #1-ranked, defending 2x World Champion and defending RBI event champion Isabela Sousa at the hands of former 5x World Champion Neymara Carvalho in the quarterfinals. Also in the quarterfinals, Jessica Becker defeated #2-ranked Emma Cobb (Australia).The semifinals and final would be an all-Brazilian affair that, also, became a battle of generations.
