SAN BARTOLO, Lima/Peru (Wednesday, June 2, 2010) – The world’s best female surfers will assault the South American continent this week for the fifth stop on the 2010 ASP Women’s World Tour, the Movistar Peru Classic presented by IDP.

ASP Women’s World Champ Gilmore Rebounds for Round 3 Movistar Peru Classic

SAN BARTOLO, Lima/Peru (Monday, June 7, 2010) – Rounds 2 and 3 of the Movistar Peru Classic presented by IPD, Stop No. 5 on the 2010 ASP Women’s World Tour, were completed today in smaller-but-cleaner two-to-three foot (1 metre) lefthanders in San Bartolo.

Julian Wilson Takes Down First Ever ASP 6-Star SriLankan Airlines Pro Arugam Bay

ARUGAM BAY, Sri Lanka (Thursday, June 24, 2010) – Australia’s Julian Wilson has won the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 6-Star SriLankan Airlines Pro in flawless four-to-six foot (2 metre) feet surf on an epic final day.

Wilson came into this event courtesy of a wildcard from the sponsor and throughout the event he dominated, continually posting the day’s highest scoring rides and took a deserved win over 19 year-old USA surfer Nat Young.

Wilson and Young were unquestionably the worthy finalists here as both verified their status as two of the most exciting, emerging ASP surfers.Wilson controlled the Final from start to finish and capitalized early by taking wave priority when Young took off on a poor opening wave.

By mid-Final, Wilson had a solid lead and Young faulted slightly going for some gigantic floating re-entry moves that never quite came off while Wilson continued to build on his lead scoring a 7.40 ride late in the Final which left Young chasing an outstanding 9-point ride to bridge the gap.… Read the rest
