While the temperature soared at Narrabeen Beach, Sydney, Australia, the waves arrived and the surfing in the Billabong World Junior Championships was simply top notch.

Pint-sized prodigy Carissa Moore from Hawaii had her older and more seasoned rivals rattled today at the Billabong World Junior Championships, after she put on a performance well beyond her tender age of 13.

Moore revelled in the one metre (three foot) conditions at Narrabeen Beach, Australia as she caught numerous right-hand breaking waves and executed top to bottom turns that scored her a total of 17.84 out of a possible 20. The Surfing Association of the State of Guerrero (Asociacion de Surfing del Estado de Guerrero A. C.), in association with the Govement of the State of Guerrero, the Ministry of Tourism, the Acapulco Municipality and the private sector, presented a surfing event and contest at Playa Bonfil in Acapulco in memory of surfer and 1st National Surfing Champion in Petacalco, Gro., Evencio Garcia Bibiano, who 20 years ago disappeared on this same beach during a surfing competition.[/i]Playa Bonfil, Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.
