WANNING, Hainan Island, China (Wednesday, November 20, 2013) – The Swatch Girls Pro China hosted by Wanning saw clean 3 to 4 foot left handers running 150 meters down the point at Riyue Bay all day today. All 12 heats of Round 1 and 10 heats of Round 2 were completed with the world’s best female longboarders putting on a show for the first day of the event that will decide the 2013 ASP Women’s World Longboard Champion.

X-Games Real Surf Contest.

Surfing has been added to the X Games – but not with a regular surf contest, but with an innovative video contest. Eight pro surfers were invited to produce a 1-minute video and a panel of surf industry experts judged them.

Jordy Smith filmed the best footage and with his progressive style was able to beat Kelly Slater, Chippa Wilson, Dion Agius, Josh Kerr, Gabriel Medina, Matt Meola and Albee Layer. Jordy pocketed the $ 50.000 prize cheque and a gold medal in the X Games – one of his life-long dreams!”Most of my video was filmed in Africa, in Mozambique. The 2013 Reef ISA World Surfing Games in Panama begins today with the Opening Ceremony, featuring the traditional Parade of Nations and Sands of the World Ceremony, followed by the official Press Conference.
