Objectives of the Contest<\/p>\n
– publicities on tourism for Kata-Karon Beaches and in Phuket Province, introduction to surfers specially during the months of August and September which is the end of current season and the beginning of the new tourist season.
\n – to promote and support tourists who love the challenge of board surfing
\n – to promote and support youth and general public to have interest in sports and physical exercises under the Government\u0092s policy with the stress of keeping youth away from drugs
\n – to support water sports that are not destructive to the environment<\/p>\n
– to allow surfers to modify use of surf board in rescue of tourists at sea <\/p>\n

Date, time & venue for Contest : from 5 to 7 September 2008, 08:00-16:00 hours at Kata Beach (contest for individual categories)<\/p>\n
Anticipated result<\/p>\n
1. At least 120 contestants from over 10 countries to participate, most of which will be tourists who visit with the purpose of surfing in particular such as tourists from Japan, England, United States, France, South Africa, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Australia, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
\n 2. Tourists becoming interested in physical exercise, especially in board surfing
\n 3. Surfers may be able to provide assistance to tourists upon mishap at sea<\/p>\n

วัตถุประสงค์การจัดงาน
\n – เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์เผยแพร่แหล่งท่องเที่ยวหาดกะตะ \u0096 กะรน และในจังหวัดภูเก็ตให้เป็นที่รู้จักของ นักเล่น กระดานโต้คลื่นโดยเฉาะในช่วงเดือนสิงหาคม – กันยายน ซึ่งเป็นช่วงจะสิ้นสุดฤดูกาลและเริ่มต้นฤดูกาล ท่องเที่ยวใหม่
\n – เพื่อส่งเสริมสนับสนุนให้กลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวที่ชอบความท้าทายเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่น
\n – เพื่อส่งเสริมสนับสนุนให้เยาวชนและประชาชนสนใจกีฬา รักการออกกำลังกายตามแนวนโยบายของรัฐบาล และมุ่งเน้นให้เยาวชนห่างไกลยาเสพติด
\n – เพื่อสนับสนุนกิจกรรมกีฬาทางน้ำที่ไม่ทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อม
\n – เพื่อให้นักเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่นสามารถประยุกต์ใช้การเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่นในการช่วยชีวิตนักท่องเที่ยวได<\/p>\n
วันเวลาและสถานที่รับสมัคร :สมัครได้ที่ กองการศึกษา ชั้น3 สำนักงานเทศบาลตำบลกะรน ตั้งแต่วันนี้ ถึง วันอังคารที่ 2 กันยายน 2551
\nวันเวลาและสถานที่แข่งขัน แข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 5 – 7 กันยายน 2551 เวลาตั้งแต่ 08.00\u009616.00 น. ณ ชายหาดกะตะ (แข่งขันในแต่ละประเภท)<\/p>\n
ค่าสมัครแข่งขัน 200 บาท ทุกรุ่นสำหรับคนไทย <\/p>\n
ผลที่คาดว่าจะได้รับ <\/p>\n
มีผู้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน มาจากประเทศต่างๆ กว่า 10 ประเทศ ไม่น้อยกว่า 120 คน ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นนักท่องเที่ยวที่เดินทางมาพักผ่อนเพื่อมาเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่นโดยเฉพาะ เช่น ญี่ปุ่น , อังกฤษ , อเมริกา , ฝรั่งเศส , แอฟริกาใต้ , นอร์เวย์ , ฟินแลนด์ , สวีเดน , ออสเตรเลีย , ฟิลิปปินส์ , อินโดนีเซีย , มาเลเซีย , สิงคโปร์ เป็นต้น
\nนักท่องเที่ยวมีความสนใจและรักการออกกำลังกาย โดยเฉพาะการเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่น
\nนักกระดานโต้คลื่นสามารถช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวเมื่อประสบภัยทางน้ำได้
