Dave Hubbard won the DK division and was crowned for the 4th time world champion. With 3 wins in 3 events, Dave had a 100% achievement this year. \u201cI\u2019m really happy to win all the 3 events that the DK division had. This was a very favorable year for the DK and I think that the division is gaining strength once more.\u201d Said the champ<\/p>\n
With small 3 feet waves, Jessica Becker won her 3rd event of the year (the others where Sopelana, Buzios and Isla de Margarita) and now goes to Canary Island very motivated. \u201cI\u2019m stoked to win in Isla. This is my second win here in Isla but this is more important than last year since I\u2019m current in 3rd position and I have real chances of a world title. Now my goal is the last event of the year at Confital\u201d.J\u00e9ssica defeated on the final, the 2007 vice world champion Maylla Venturin from Brazil.
\nCatarina Souza from Portugal, showed was really consistence throughout the entire competition and was only stopped by the Champion of the event, Jessica. Catarina, repeated her 2nd best result of the year(3rd place) and now has a better situation to stay in the top 8 of the 2010 world tour. On the other semifinal, Isabela Sousa from Brasil was stopped by Maylla and stayed with the 3rd place overall.<\/p>\n
With these results, the 2009 woman title will once again be decided on the last stop of the IBA tour, in Confital beach, Canary Islands. The competition, that has a Grand Slam status, will distribute 1500 points for the woman and will point out which of three contenders: Neymara Carvalho, Eunate Aguirre, Jessica Becker will be crowned the 2009 IBA Champion.<\/p>\n

The Bodyboard Pro Festival, was also counting points for the Latin America title. Jessica Becker and Magno Oliveira won the 2009 divisions.<\/p>\n
