Search for Irish surfer off Thailand

search is continuing for an Irishman who went missing while surfing off the coast of Thailand earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Michael O\u2019Brien (24) from Templeogue in Dublin has not been seen since Tuesday when he went surfing around Koh Pahngan island.<\/p>\n
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs said: “The department has been providing consular assistance through our consulate in Bangkok and their embassy in Malaysia to his family.<\/p>\n
“Efforts to locate Mr O’Brien are continuing and to our knowledge no body has yet been recovered.”<\/p>\n
