\nBrazilian bodyboarder Isabela Sousa captured her second IBA World title in Isla De Margarita, Venezuela.<\/p>\n
Sousa was competing in the Bodyboard Pro Festival at Playa Praguito, Nueva Esparta, and only had to touch the water to secure enough points to claim the title.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so happy I don\u2019t know what to say\u201d said an elated Sousa.<\/p>\n
\u201cBodyboarding is my life, it\u2019s taken me to so many place around the world and given me experiences and friendships that will last forever\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Sousa was in a four-way wrangle in the first semester of the IBA World Women\u2019s Tour with the other contenders including Brazilian Karla Costa Taylor and current World Champion Eunate Aguirre (Basque) but managed to moved forward with a win in the previous event in Brazil, the Rio Bodyboarding International.<\/p>\n
Only Japans Minami Hatekayama could have snatched the title from Sousa with a win in Venezuela and the final event in Puerto Rico, the Encanto Pro, but the 17 year old elected not to challenge this year and will wait for a thorough campaign in 2013.<\/p>\n
Isabela Sousa is regarded to be at the forefront of progressive women\u2019s bodyboarding and represents a new wave of female riders that are taking the sport to new heights.<\/p>\n
She captured her maiden title in 2010 by dominating every event she entered and last year battled with Eunate Aguirre in Azores to finish runner up.<\/p>\n
