Things are shaping up very nicely indeed for the first ever IBA World Tour event in Peru and Jose’ Ugarte and his team are very excited to showcase some of the waves that this part of the world has to offer.

” There are a few different venues that we believe can be used for the contest” says Jose’

” And all of them are perfect for bodyboarding. We already have some of the world best riders confirmed and the whole of Lima already is talking about the contest”” The cost of staying here is only a few dollars per night and the food is very cheap so this will be good for the competitors” added Jose’

Event No. 3 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Billabong Pro Tahiti survived a marathon waiting period, culminating on the second-to-last available day in improving conditions that peaked for a climactic Final.

Martinez surfed a near-flawless heat, opening up with an impressive 8.73 out of a possible 10 before putting his opponent in a combination situation with a Houdini-esque 9.73 out of a possible 10.
