CLOUDBREAK, Tavarua/Fiji (Wednesday, June 12, 2013) – Kelly Slater (USA), 41, has won the Volcom Fiji Pro over Mick Fanning (AUS), 31, in pumping six-to-eight foot (2 metre) barrels at Cloudbreak, simultaneously launching to No. 1 on the ASP World Championship Tour (WCT) rankings.
Stop No. 4 of 10 on the ASP WCT, the Volcom Fiji Pro saw several days of world-class surf at both Restaurants and Cloudbreak and a series of mixed results from the ASP Top 34 frontrunners shook up the current race for the ASP World Title.… Read the rest

Kelia Moniz Claims ASP Women’s World Longboard Title at the SWATCH Girls Pro China

WANNING, Hainan Island/China (Sunday, November 25, 2012) – Kelia Moniz (HAW) has won the SWATCH Girls Pro China 2012 hosted by Wanning over Chelsea Williams (AUS), claiming her maiden ASP Women’s World Longboard Title. The pair repeated history by meeting in the Final as they did at last year’s SWATCH Girls Pro China, where Williams won, but today it was Moniz who took top honours.

Moniz is the second ASP World Champion crowned in China and is a well deserved winner after consistently posting excellent scores all event, but the Final was her most dominant heat by far. TEAHUPO’O, Taiarapu/Tahiti (Saturday, August 25, 2012) – The Billabong Pro Tahiti has called its eighth and final lay day this morning and will recommence competition tomorrow.

TEAHUPO’O, Taiarapu/Tahiti (Monday, August 27, 2012) – Mick Fanning (AUS), 31, has claimed the 2012 Billabong Pro Tahiti over compatriot and Gold Coast stablemate Joel Parkinson (AUS), 31, in classic four-to-six foot (1 – 1.5 metre) waves at Teahupo’o.
Event No. 5 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, the Billabong Pro Tahiti culminated in dynamic fashion today, with swell pulsing for the all-Australian Final.
