The World’s National Masters Surfing Teams Set to Compete at the 2007 ISA World Masters Surfing Championship

Puerto Rico to Host International Surfing Event in Rincon, January 20-28, 2007

San Diego, Calif., December 6, 2006 – The 2007 ISA World Masters Surfing Championship will feature some of the best master’s surfers from around the globe competing for their respective countries January 20-28, 2007 in Rincon, Puerto Rico. The event will be hosted by the Puerto Rico Surfing Federation, the national governing body for the sport of surfing in the Puerto Rico.The Championship will feature surfers from over 15 countries including Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Great Britain, Italy, Jamaica, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Sweden, Tahiti and Venezuela.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) launches totally new website!
The ISA announced that on 25 September 2006, its new website will be going live. The new site includes a new look, the latest ISA press releases, ISA Membership directory and information on how to become a member, information on all ISA development programs, an opportunity to join the ISA database, the ISA event calendar, the ISA retail store and, in the near future, a photo/video gallery where the media may download and the public may be able to view ISA event pictures.

QUIKSILVER STEPS UP ISA JUNIORS SUPPORT

ISA Junior World Champs earn chance to surf in WCT events
26 July 2006 – Quiksilver will step up its support of the International Surfing Association’s (ISA) junior program by creating a fast track for Under 18 boys and Under 18 girls to participate in the worldwide Quiksilver and Roxy
ASP World Championship Tour (WCT) events.

Gold medalists in both Under 18 divisions at the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship will automatically be given a spot in the trials and expression sessions at all Quiksilver and Roxy WCT events over a 12-month period. Quiksilver will pay all their expenses, including airfare and accommodation.The other division contested at the Quiksilver ISA WJSC is the U16 boys and their gold medalist will receive a US$2,000 ASP credit from Quiksilver to be put towards membership fees, event entry fees or travel insurance to participate in junior events around the world for one year.… Read the rest
