Kalim surf contest
The second annual Phuket Boardriders Kalim Beach Surf Competition will be held on August 5th and 6th at Kalim reef on the north end of Patong Bay. Up to 48 local and visiting surfers will take part in the event with prizes being awarded to the top 4 finishers.The contest will kick off at 9am on Saturday and run through the weekend. Other than surfing, the event will include a car audio demonstration by Sapam Auto Sound as well as two live bands performing on Sunday evening after the prize giving ceremony.
Competitor entry fee is 300 Baht which includes a free T-Shirt. Entry deadline is July 31st. Surfers wishing to take part in the competition should contact their local Boardriders representative or call club president, K. Joob at 01 956 5854 for further details.
The Phuket Boardriders are also seeking sponsorship from local businesses for this and future contests and activities. Those wishing to help out should contact K. Joob at the number above.
Last year was a great 2 days with surfers from as far as Australia, Japan and the US entering. Join Phuket Board Riders for a fun day. All are welcome!!
