Surfing in Thailand
Surfing in Thailand is mainly seasonal, with the best waves usually arriving during the southwest monsoon from May to October. The Andaman coast, including Phuket, Khao Lak, Phang Nga and nearby islands, gets the most consistent swell.
The waves are not usually big by world standards, but they can be fun, warm and very beginner-friendly. There are also quieter beach breaks where you can still find a few uncrowded sessions if you know where to look.
