Phi Phi island (Koh Phi Phi)
More Information
Phi Phi islands are part of the greater Krabi province and are a must visit when in Thailand. The two islands that make up this group, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh, are about 40 kilometres south-west of Krabi City.
The islands are famous for their spectacular landscapes, breathtaking cliffs, tall sheer walls of limestone, crystal clear waters and coral beds, which are home to a wide range of sea life.
Phi Phi island is probably one of the most beautiful islands in the world and is host to some great diving spots also. Days tours to Phi Phi island are a good start to see many of the outer remote islands and reefs, snorkel, feed the colourful fish and have a relaxing worry free day.
Day tours are quite inexpensive and usually include lunch, free use of snorkels and an English speaking guide, who has very good knowledge of the area.
Some of the more popular places to see while on tour are Viking Cave, Koh Phi Phi Leh, Maya Bay and of course the many reefs which are easy to dive and snorkel.
Because Phi Phi Island has beautiful landscapes very close, Stand Up Paddleboarding is ideal for taking a casual cruise around the island to see the sights.
