These are usually the hotels to look at if you want more facilities, a better location, bigger rooms or a more comfortable base while still staying close to Patong.
Patong hotel prices move around with the season, booking demand and whatever the hotel robots are thinking that day. Treat this as the higher-end Patong guide and use Agoda to check current rates and availability.

Duangjitt Resort & Spa is a large, long-running resort set around the southern end of Patong. It is a good one to compare if you want gardens, pools and a more spread-out hotel setting while still keeping Patong Beach and town within reach.
This area can be a little calmer than central Patong, but you are still close enough to restaurants, shops and nightlife when you want them. For families or travellers who want resort space without being too far from the action, it can be a useful option.

Rayaburi Beach Club Hotel

Rayaburi Beach Club Hotel was listed as a small hotel close to Patong Beach. It is worth checking carefully because smaller Patong properties can change names, management or availability over time.
The main appeal is the beach-side location. If it is currently available on Agoda and the recent photos look right, it can suit travellers who want a smaller stay near the sand rather than a large resort. Just check the current listing before getting too attached to any old hotel description.

Safari Beach Hotel

Safari Beach Hotel is in a very central Patong location, close to the beach and nightlife. This is a good one to check if you want to be right in the middle of town and do not mind the area being busy.
The location is convenient, but it is not a quiet retreat. If you want restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach within a short walk, it can work well. If you want peaceful nights, central Patong may not be your best life decision.

Patong Beach Hotel by See2Sea is the updated listing for the old Patong Beach Hotel entry. It sits in a very central Patong location, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and nightlife.
This is one to compare if location matters more than peace and quiet. You are staying in the busy heart of Patong, which is either exactly what you want or something you will discuss with yourself at 1am. Check the current photos and room categories on Agoda before booking.

Andamantra Resort and Villa Phuket is the updated listing for the old Centara Blue Marine Resort & Spa entry. It sits on the north Patong and Kalim side, with hillside views and a more removed feel than the central beach road hotels.
This can suit travellers who want a larger resort and sea views without staying right in the middle of Patong's nightlife. The trade-off is that you may use transport more often, so check the map and shuttle options before booking.

The location is the main reason to check it. As with older Patong properties, look carefully at the current photos and recent comments before booking. Beach road convenience is good, but it is worth knowing what the rooms look like now, not fifteen monsoons ago.

Avantika Boutique Hotel Patong Beach

Avantika Boutique Hotel Patong Beach is a smaller boutique-style hotel at the southern end of Patong. It can suit travellers who want to stay close to the beach but prefer something with a bit more character than a large resort block.
South Patong is often a better fit if you still want Patong convenience but prefer being a little away from the busiest central nightlife. Check current photos, availability and location before booking.

Baan Yin Dee Boutique Resort

Baan Yin Dee Boutique Resort sits above the southern end of Patong on the road toward Tri Trang. It is a quieter, more boutique-style option with views, but it is not a beach-road hotel.
This can be a good choice if you want to stay near Patong but do not want to sleep in the middle of it. The hillside position means transport is useful, especially if you are heading in and out of Patong at night.

Holiday Inn Resort Phuket is one of Patong's long-running larger resorts, set near the southern end of the main beach area. It is a strong option for families and travellers who want a known hotel brand, good facilities and easy access to Patong Beach.
This part of Patong is convenient without being quite as intense as the centre around Bangla Road. It can work well if you want comfort, pools and beach access, while still being able to walk to restaurants and shopping.

M Social Hotel Phuket
(formerly Millennium Resort Patong Phuket, central Patong)
M Social Hotel Phuket is the updated listing for the old Millennium Resort Patong Phuket entry. It is in a very central position near Jungceylon, making it a strong choice if you want shopping, restaurants and nightlife close by.
This is a modern, central Patong hotel rather than a quiet beach hideaway. It suits travellers who want to be in the middle of town and walk to most things. If you want quiet, central Patong may be a bit too honest about itself.

BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel & Serviced Apartments
(north-central Patong, apartment-style stay)
BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel & Serviced Apartments is a good option if you want more space and a serviced apartment feel rather than a standard hotel room. It is in the north-central Patong area, close enough to the beach and town but not right in the loudest section.
This can suit longer stays, couples or travellers who like having a bit more room to move. It is usually a better fit for people who want comfort and space, but still want the restaurants and nightlife of Patong within reach.

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach is the current listing for the old Merlin Beach Resort entry. It is not in central Patong, but around the Merlin Beach and Tri Trang area south of Patong, with a much more resort-focused feel.
This is a good one to compare if you want a larger resort, beach setting, pools and a quieter holiday while still being a short ride from Patong. It is not the best choice if you want to walk out into Patong nightlife every night, but that may be exactly the point.

Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa

Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa is a large resort at the northern end of Patong Beach. It is one of the main options to compare if you want bigger resort facilities, pools and beach access without staying right in the central nightlife area.
North Patong can be a sensible location for families and travellers who want Patong convenience but a little more breathing room. You are still close to the beach and town, but not quite in the thickest part of it.

Amari Phuket
(formerly Amari Coral Beach, south Patong headland)
Amari Phuket is the updated name for the old Amari Coral Beach listing. It sits on the headland at the southern end of Patong, giving it a quieter and more scenic feel than hotels in the middle of town.
This is a strong choice if you want a proper resort, sea views and easy access to Patong without sleeping right in the middle of the nightlife. It is one of the better Patong options if you want comfort but still want the town nearby.

Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa
(north Patong cliffside resort)
Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is a larger resort on the northern side of Patong, with a more elevated cliffside setting. It can suit travellers who want views, resort facilities and a location slightly away from the central Patong noise.
This is not the same as staying right in the middle of the beach road, so check the walking distances and shuttle options before booking. The setting can be lovely, but hills and convenience are not always best mates.

La Flora Resort Patong
(central beachfront Patong)
La Flora Resort Patong is a higher-end beachfront option right in central Patong. It is one to compare if you want to be on the beach and close to everything, but still prefer a more polished hotel stay.
The location is hard to beat for convenience, but it also puts you close to the busiest part of Patong. If you want beachfront, nightlife and restaurants all around you, it can make sense. If you want quiet nights, Patong may gently laugh at your plan.
Location: Central Patong Beach, Phuket
This third Patong page is best used for larger resorts, beachfront hotels and more comfortable stays. For cheaper rooms, use the budget Patong page. For the middle ground, use the mid-range Patong page.
I have only listed the old Merlin Beach / Marriott Merlin Beach property once, under its current name, because keeping two versions of the same hotel on one page would be a bit daft. Patong already has enough confusion without the website joining in.
