Digital Cameras
Digital cameras are still useful if you want better photos than your phone, proper zoom, better handling, or something you can take travelling without draining your phone battery all day. This page includes DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, bridge cameras, compact cameras and a few beginner-friendly vlogging-style options.
DSLR, Mirrorless, Compact & Travel Cameras
I’ve put the better-known camera brands first — Canon, Nikon, Sony and Panasonic — then added a few easier budget cameras lower down. If you are travelling, think about size and weight. A big camera is great until you leave it in the hotel because you cannot be bothered carrying it.
